Re-Juvenating One's Self...

Hello luvies! Thought I'd provide a quick update on what's been going on simply because I haven't done so in so long...

Midterms are over! It's hard to believe that we're already halfway through the semester, but it's dandy knowing that summer vacation will arrive soon. The weather is definitely getting better; far better than the artctic wind and the single digit degrees that taunted us last week. I have absolultely no idea as to what I'm going to do over this spring break now that it has finally arrived...I was supposed to go back into interning but I was just told that I'll have to go on the 19th because my director is taking a vacation. So now, I'm not entirely sure as to what spring break has in store for me. Of course, in any case, I'll have a good book at hand and my ipod playlist :)

End of Winter Break

First off, my apologies for not having written in here any sooner! I swear, I always have the intentions to do so but I always get sidetracked by one thing or the other.

I will make it a point with this blog to try to expose my ideals of feminisim while continuing to strive to become a writer extraordinaire - well, I aspire towards the latter part of that if nothing else!

So unfortunately, we didn't get to go to California as we had hoped to over the break. I guess taking a trip with the cousins to visit Sonia Chechy and Bharath will have to wait till next time! It's so ridiculously awesome to have them living there, right admist it all...probably the most picturesque place I've seen in the U.S. to date (and mind you, I've visited them all)!

Bani is still in Italy and will be back home on the 27th. It's not that I've ever taken her for granted being right here and all, but I miss her particularly right now because it's just that much more difficult to run to her or exchange lame stories, send each other flirty Yahoo audibles and for even being used as the safety card while she's off on one of her escapades, being serenaded by her one and only. Sigh. Come back soon love.

Ramblings of A Girl Rotting Away At Home...

Guess who's back (upon Tina's request; demand rather)? It's mee :) Well, I don't really have much to say really. I'll try to update this thing as often as I can, though I can't promise anything really because I doubt it's something I'll be able to commit to.

Anyway, let's see...what's been going on? Nothing, for the most part. o_O Classes start in a couple of days and though I'm dreading it for the most part, I'm kind've looking forward to diving back into the books and the insular bubble of academia, away from this world of nonsensical and stress-inducing drama. My aunt is going to India in a couple of days though she'll be greatly missed here, my grandmother really needs her...le sigh. I would've so gone with her provided we could've gotten tickets sometime during the winter break. Then again, I'm glad I was here to have allowed whatever that has taken place to have taken into effect.

Though Rishi has no idea I have a blog and will probably never ever read this, I'm going to give him a shoutout because he's coming back to New York soon and I'm sure he's been anticipating on doing so all week! haha

Friday is Sylvia's birthday party so I'm totally looking forward to that...hopefully, our clique will have re-united as it's been way too long since we've all gotten together (Konrad's house for the Halo2 party, I think?) I'm going to Port Chester on Saturday to spend the entire day with my lovee Tina to do loads of shopping and bowling with her friends...yaay! She's always the upside to my EVERYTHING. Oh goodness, she forgot to tell me to complete MISSION: A****N, but I'm so on it! I'm not forgetting tonight!

I'm currently reading Tomcat in Love by Tim O'Brien...it's not too enticing as of right now. My dad is giving my mother an analysis of her psychological issues as per usual and she prevails with the negativity and the bickering. All right, I think I'm going to have to cut this short...ciao loves :)

A Not So Productive Sunday Evening...

So last night, Tina and I agreed that it was necessary for both of us to update our blogs but neither of us got to do so...figures! Anyhow, Tina's been pestering me into writing a real post...one in which I record the activities of my life in all the details I could muster, hovering between anger and befuddlement, because as much as I would like to write on happier flows of thoughts and events, it's not happening anytime soon, pal!

Anyhow, yesterday I had a particularly fantastic time with my wifey. We spent it doing absolutely nothing productive...watching movies [Little Miss Sunshine is fantastic, by the way, definitely topping my Movies That Must Be Watched By Every Sort of Audience list], chit-chattering, a long walk in the breeze. I assume over the coming weekend, I'm going to go upstate to see her and shop for dresses and what not...isn't that so, Tina?! :)


Apart from that, I'm still reading the two literary works I've been reading for the past two weeks---Anna Karenina and White Oleander.
